i.am scholarship

will.i.am created the i.am scholarship to provide future leaders and innovators  with financial assistance for the entirety of their post-secondary education, as well as professional opportunities at Dipdive.com upon the completion of their course of study.  More than just financial aid, the i.am scholarship is an investment in our future.

We know our children need an education -- and not just a high school education. In order to make significant contributions to our society, most of our children will first need to complete college. However, many students don’t have the resources to get a college education.

In 2009, will.i.am launched the i.am scholarship on the Oprah Show and provided a 4-year scholarship to four students who were in dire need of financial assistance to attend college.

In 2011 and along with College Track, i.am scholarship will support the inaugural class of i.am College Track scholars.

College Track is a holistic and comprehensive program, nourishing both the academic and social/emotional growth of students to ensure that each of them graduates high school eligible to attend and prepared to succeed in college.  College Track plans to expand to other cities, including will.i.am's own East Los Angeles.
